Usma and Raffay
They wanted something for just themselves and decided to elope in New Orleans at the Pharmacy Museum...my favorite venue! Usma told me they met online and on the first date, she spotted a machete in Raffay's car and thought he was going to murder her. She told this story jokingly because Raffay actually kept it in his car for protection. To take a jab, Raffay said he thought Usma was going to kill him.
A romance is born...out of suspicion. All in good fun though! I really connected with this couple and wanted to make their New Orleans elopement a wonderful experience!
We laughed and had fun walking in circles throughout the French Quarter. Usma's dress was spectacular and I loved all the little details. Since this wasn't their big wedding, she didn't have the mehindi painted on for this occasion since it was just the two of them here.
My heart was happy to have documented all this love and culture in one day, at my favorite place.
