From New York City to New Orleans....
Heather and Kyle found me through Instagram in late 2021. They asked my advice for locations and I mentioned the Seraphim House (who has an amazing onsite coordinator- Cassandra), which they were able to book for an intimate January elopement. They also took an Uber to Jefferson Parish courthouse to get a marriage license, after I told them they'd have a better experience there. I love how everything fell into place and I was so happy to be able to give some sound advice that worked out! Starting to think I might add wedding planning to my little repertoire. I am a Jane of all trades...maybe.
Anyway, getting to document this elopement was a dream come true and I hope I get to see these two again because they were so much fun to work with!
The Judge who officiated, was from family court in Orleans Parish. During the ring exchange, he jokingly told the groom to never take it off. He then showed us his wedding ring he said the skin has grown around for 42 years!
While signing the license, I remember the Judge saying this was the best part of his job and the part he preferred, "Bringing people together." I have to agree...my favorite too.
